WHY ARE WHITEBOARDS BAD AND WHY IS INCREDILINE GOOD?
When manufacturing whiteboards, melamine (an extremely toxic chemical), is combined with formaldehyde (generally used to preserve animal remains) to make melamine resin which becomes the face of most whiteboards. Formaldehyde slowly releases gas over its lifetime and reduces the quality of indoor air. Incrediline products are formaldehyde and melamine free, keeping air free from chemicals and toxins. Enough said?
Over a very short period of time, melamine resin becomes less and less usable creating ghosting effects on dry erase boards and these useless dry erase boards end up in landfills. In fact, over 50 million pounds of whiteboards end up in landfills every year. What's worse? Melamine resin is neither recyclable nor biodegradable. These whiteboards will sit in our landfills forever.
Whiteboards take an enormous amount of energy to produce and transport. Huge ovens, a large number of materials, and an even larger number of packaging materials are required to produce, package and carefully ship whiteboards. In fact, a 20 x 30 whiteboard weighs close to 9 pounds. Incrediline wall decals, in comparison, weigh less than 8 OUNCES and ship in a small box requiring no additional packaging material.
